Recently we saw Ian McShane play the villainous pirate Captain Black Beard in Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, but now the actor has signed on to play the head dwarf in Universal’s Snow White and the Huntsman.
McShane will play Caesar, the leader of the dwarfs. He has joined Kristen Stewart, Charlize Theron, Sam Claflin and Chris Hemsworth, which is scheduled to hit theaters on June 1, 2012.
The project, being directed by Rupert Sanders, is a revisionist take on the fairy tale and features Snow White as a princess who escapes her evil stepmother with the help of a huntsman who was to have killed her but now trains the princess to survive and fight back. (Source)
The internet has been ablaze since it was publicized that Samuel L. Jackson had his The Avengers shooting script stolen and later sold on the black market. Samuel L. Jackson has come forward to talk about how the theft actually occurred, and how he was scolded by Walt Disney and Marvel Studios for letting this happen.
This is what Samuel L. Jackson had to say about the notorious incident.
“When they sent me the new version of the script, I was shooting a film in Toronto (Canada) and my assistant copied it from the email (and printed it) in the office somewhere. And by the time we got to Albuquerque someone had stolen the script out of the printer and put it online for sale. I didn’t know printers had memories. And apparently my assistant didn’t either. Marvel/Disney kind of got really upset about it. It caused a minor storm of investigation. They sent a team of investigators to Canada. They were trying to find (track down) the IP address of the person that put it online. It was crazy.”
No one has been arrested in the theft of Samuel L. Jackson’s script. Neither Marvel nor Disney have ever made any official comments in regards to this infamous incident.
The Avengers comes to theaters May 4th, 2012 and stars Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Samuel L. Jackson, Don Cheadle, Clark Gregg, Tom Hiddleston. The film is directed by Joss Whedon. (Source)

Via his official Twitter account, Mark Ruffalo provided fans with an interesting … and informative update regarding The Hulk in the highly anticipated Avengers film.

ComingSoon.net attended the Licensing International Expo’s in Las Vegas where an initial teaser poster for The Avengers was unveiled. The poster was photographed by ESQ and features all the heroes together. Please keep in mind this is not the official movie poster, it is merely a concept art teaser poster.

Robert Downey Jr. took a break from shooting The Avengers in New Mexico to take part in a Q & A session at the Hero Complex Film Festival in Hollywood last night. Here’s what the actor had to say about The Avengers, heaping praise on director Joss Whedon.
“Well, I hate everybody. [Laughter] I’m not talking about the cast, I’m not talking about Joss. What I mean is I tend to look at a scene and say ‘This is absolutely impossible, we can’t shoot this, it’s horrible. I can tell you ten other movies it’s been in, I refuse.’ I usually start off the morning by refusing to do what I’ve signed on to do. So I brought that attitude, happily. I just thought How are you gonna put all of us clowns together? He’s wearing a suit, he’s all jacked up, he’s so and so and poor Mark Ruffalo, he’s gonna out do us. And we’re about six weeks in, and I have to say Joss Whedon is nailing it. He’s so smart and so good. And it’s gonna be great. I can’t believe I just said it, I never could’ve believed this but it’s gonna be great.”

ReelzChannel.com posted a “What We Know About The Avengers So Far” article on their website. Take a look below at what we can expect from Thor (Chris Hemsworth) in the 2012 film:
What We Know So Far
After starting a war in Asgard, the god of thunder is cast out by his father, Odin (Anthony Hopkins) and sent to Earth, where he plays kissyface with Natalie Portman and fights the Destroyer, a metallic giant sent by his mischievous brother, Loki (Tom Hiddleston).
It was revealed early last year (via leaked details of the movie) that Thor takes place after the events of The Incredible Hulk, which means it’s also set after the Iron Man movies.
What to Expect in The Avengers
Marvel’s start of production announcement confirmed that Hiddleston would return, so The Avengers will be a personal, family affair for Thor. Hemsworth has revealed that there will be plenty of tension between the Asgardian and the rest of the team, perhaps the Hulk particularly (as has often been the case in the comic books).
What He Said About The Avengers
He recently told IGN that he’s “incorporating some sort of broadsword techniques” for his hammer swinging in The Avengers, and is already “back in the gym” training for the movie. The Thor press tour will keep Hemsworth from the first two weeks of shooting, which may be why he’s messed up a few details. Earlier this month, Hemsworth revealed that Portman will appear in The Avengers, a statement that Portman quickly refuted.
