Marvel has released a new trailer for the highly-anticipated blockbuster The Avengers: Infinity War. Infinity War is the beginning of the end for the first major story arc of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It will show the mad titan Thanos (Josh Brolin), who first appeared in 2012’s The Avengers, attempting to complete the Infinity Gauntlet in order to take over the galaxy. Fighting back will be every Marvel hero we’ve seen so far, starting in 2008’s Iron Man and going all the way up through the yet-to-be-released Black Panther.
The Avengers: Infinity War is directed by Joe and Anthony Russo and stars many Marvel fan favourites like Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Chris Pratt, Mark Ruffalo, Sebastian Stan, Scarlett Johansson, Benedict Cumberbatch, Tom Holland, Elizabeth Olsen and Zoe Saldana among so many others. The films hits theatres on April 27, 2018. Take a look at the trailer below:

After making his debut in the post credits scene of The Avengers, we’re now just a few short months away from seeing Thanos take centre stage as he battles Earth’s Mightiest Heroes in Avengers: Infinity War. And, speaking to Empire Magazine, Joe Russo has been chatting about the Mad Titan, and what he and his brother Anthony are hoping to achieve with the villain:
“Darth Vader was the pre-eminent villain of my childhood, and we’re hoping to make a Darth Vader for a new generation,” said Russo. “We’re hoping he has that complexity to him, and that he strikes fear into the heart of the audience, but at the same time they go on a journey with him. Frankly, Avengers 3 is his movie.”
If there’s been one major criticism levied towards Marvel, it’s that the films’ villains haven’t always been up to par. Let’s hope that changes when Marvel unleashes the Mad Titan this May.
Avengers: Infinity War opens on April 27th in the UK and May 4th in North America. (Source)
