In the final minutes of Avengers: Endgame, it’s implied that the “Guardians of the Galaxy” team will be joined on their next adventure by none other than the God of Thunder himself, Thor. And while Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is likely still at least a couple more years out from release, Karen Gillan is already excited to find out how Chris Hemsworth’s character fits in with the group.
Speaking to the LA Times, the Nebula actress was asked if she’d like to see Thor become a member of the Guardians, to which she replied:
“Yes. I think that would be hilarious, to see Thor and Star-Lord in some sort of captain rivalry. I think drunk Thor would fit in more, though.”
Indeed, Thor’s final Endgame scene shows the character squabbling with Peter Quill, and it’ll be interesting to see if this rivalry continues in the Guardians’ next standalone outing. (Source)
Chris Hemsworth and Tiffany Haddish are to team up for a brand new buddy cop comedy going by the name of Down Under Cover and has a theme that involves stripping.
Hemsworth will play a detective who goes undercover to crack a series of baffling casino heists in which the prime suspects are a troupe of Australian male erotic dancers. He’s forced to take the partner no one else will, a lone wolf played by Haddish who does things only one way: hers. Together they have to work as an unlikely duo to solve the crime of their careers.
The film is said to be in the same vein as 48 Hours and Rush Hour. Peter Hoare will pen the script.
Haddish will also produce the film alongside Hemsworth’s Thematic Entertainment. (Source)

Box office expectations for Avengers: Endgame were huge. But not this huge.
Disney this morning announced that Avengers: Endgame pulled $1.209 billion worldwide in its opening weekend, easily smashing the opening-day record of $640.5 million Avengers: Infinity War set just last year.
Box Office Mojo today also estimated the movie’s haul at $1.015 billion, meaning Avengers: Endgame is the first film in history to surpass $1 billion in ticket sales in its debut weekend, too.
By the same virtue, the superhero ensemble smashed records for foreign and worldwide debuts — and just three days in, is already placing crosshairs on all-time records and other prestige numbers. With the two largest movie markets (the U.S. and China) churning away together, Deadline reported yesterday that analysts expect Avengers: Endgame “will near cash breakeven” as of Sunday — meaning that in one weekend, Disney made back everything it spent to make and market the movie, and from here on out it’s a river of gravy. Marvel fans unite! The highly anticipated Marvel film, Avengers: Endgame hits theatres this weekend. Take a look at what the critics had to say about the final instalment of the Avengers:
Empire — A victory lap that moonwalks through the best part of the MCU back catalogue and emphasises emotion as much as action, this is an intensely satisfying piece of blockbuster filmmaking.
Variety — If “Infinity War” was billed as a must-see event for all moviegoers, whether or not they’d attended a single Marvel movie prior, then “Endgame” is the ultimate fan-service follow-up
Vulture — The beginning of Avengers: Endgame reminds you that Marvel is run by very clever people — or at least people who know enough to hire very clever people. Even at three-plus hours, the gargantuan Avengers: Endgame is light on its feet and more freely inventive than it needed to be.
Screen Rant — Avengers: Endgame wraps up the story of the MCU so far, delivering an epic superhero adventure while honoring the past in a satisfying finale.
The original six Avengers – Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, and Mark Ruffalo alongside producer, Kevin Feige attended a hand print ceremony at the TCL Chinese Theater in Hollywood. Head over to the gallery for the latest additions.
